When The Times‘s walking correspondent Christopher Somerville retired from writing his long-standing walking column for The Times Weekend this summer, I was invited to write up a couple of ‘good walks’ for them. One of these, based in the lovely countryside around Fountains Abbey near where I live in North Yorkshire, appeared in the paper on 17th August and you can read it here.
